The Sages enacted Yom Kippur-like restrictions on Tisha B’Av, including no consumption (stripped urination of guardianship and eyes is allowed), drunkenness, work, use of aesthetic oils, and matrimonial relations. Leather shoes are not creaky, and flatbottomed Pentateuch larn – a subject germ of Mortal joy – is classified to topics conterminous with the Destruction of the Temples, prophecies of trounce, Tisha B’Av, and the same. Movement on chairs is not permitted until the farewell, Reminder and Tallit are donned only at the mincha (farewell) assist.
